The Carts, Allocations & Clubs page is where you will find settings for various channels throughout the system. This includes Global settings for your Open Cart, Allocation checkout options, fields to add Goals to your Allocation Report by Sales Channel, and even Club options during signup. If you are unsure how any of these settings will apply to your setup, please reach out to [email protected] or message us using the chat icon in the lower right-hand corner of your Offset Commerce account.

Global Cart Features

These features control cart behaviors for all areas of the system. Whether you are selling in an Open Cart, an Allocation, or a combination of the two, these settings will apply globally.

Cart Expiration Length

The cart expiration length determines how long customers (and Offset admin users) have to complete an order before the inventory is released for another order. The time starts when the item(s) are added to a customer's cart.

To set the length, use the dropdown selection to choose the length in minutes. You can choose a length of time in preset increments ranging from 5 to 60 minutes.

NOTE: While inventory is added to a customer's cart, it isn't available to others until the Cart Expiration Length has passed. When making a selection, you should choose a length that provides enough of a time cushion for people to comfortably add credit cards, addresses, order notes, etc. 15 minutes is a good starting point if you are not sure how much time your customers will need.

Also, consider the demand for what you are selling and the amount of inventory that is available when choosing your time. Suppose the expiration length is too long, and the customers add the wines to their cart without completing the purchase. In that case, other purchasers may miss out on the opportunity to purchase those bottles if they leave before the cart expiration time has lapsed.

Discount on the number of products (Case Discount)

This feature allows you to set a percentage discount during checkout when a specific number of products is added to a customer's cart. This allows for volume discounts. For example, you could offer a 10% discount on 12 bottles and a 15% discount on 24 bottles to incentivize customers who purchase larger quantities.

To set the discount, enter the percentage amount in whole numbers in the % off field and set the number of products required to receive that discount in the field below.

NOTE: This percentage discount only applies to "Discount Eligible" products. You can update the Discount Eligible setting per product by selecting a product to view Product Details and switching the Discount Eligible toggle under Product Discounts.

Open Cart Features

The following settings apply only to "Open Cart" setups where your site would have a customer-facing "Shop" page. This allows customers to navigate to your Shop page freely, add wines to their cart, and check out.

Default (Admin Category)

Use the dropdown to select which product category appears as the default when placing an Admin order.

Shop (Category)

Use the dropdown selector to control the product category that appears on the Shop page.

NOTE: "Shop" pages are only available in open cart setups. Some Shop pages may have multiple categories.

Buy The Collection CTA

This updates the call-to-action message that appears within your Product Category. The default verbiage is "Buy The Collection," which would be replaced by the text in this field.

NOTE: This CTA must first be enabled by going to Products > Categories page. Next, select your desired category and enable the Buy Button feature to enable the message. Most setups will choose the default category.

Group On Sign Up

When new customers create an account while placing their first open cart order, you can assign them to a specific group. Enter the group ID number found on the Groups page to the left of the group name to choose which group they are assigned to. For example, if I want new shop customers to be assigned to the Demo Group upon signup, I would enter "9" into the Group On Sign Up field.

Checkout Page

Enter a message here for your customers to view at the top of the /cart checkout page. This can be a promotion, call to action, or other information you want customers to see before finalizing their selections.

Continue Shopping URL

Use this setting to choose either the Shop /shop or Wines /wines pages when a customer selects the "CONTINUE SHOPPING" link on the /cart page.

It also directs the return link on the product detail page.

Minimum Checkout Quantity

Choose a value between 1 and 12 in the dropdown selection to set a minimum quantity that a customer must add to their cart before checking out.

Open Cart Receipt Message

This message appears on the Receipt page after Open Cart Checkout, and replaces the default messaging. This is different from OpenCart Receipt Emails. Click the See Default Message link to view your current message.

Allocation Cart Features

Options

The Enable “Purchase Allocation” Button toggle enables a button that when selected by a customer, will load their cart with the maximum purchase amount of all products in the offer.

NOTE: Adding the full offering to the cart will NOT add wish quantities to the cart.

You can Disable Wish Messaging on the allocation page with this toggle, which will remove the message at the top of the page that says "We will do our best to fulfill as many Wish Requests as possible." This will also remove the option for customers to place wish orders. Use this if you do not plan on offering wish requests with your allocation offer.

Allocation Details

NOTE: These details should be updated before each Offering.

Offering Name

This is the name of your current offer. For example, "2026 Spring Allocation."

NOTE: If you are offering individual allocations, please contact [email protected] and we can enable the necessary settings. The Start Date, End Date, and SKUs to show in New Allocation Order should be filled out before you export the Blank Allocation Import CSV file.

Start Date

Use the date picker to select the start of your individual allocation. This date will populate the allocation_start column of the Blank Allocation Import CSV file, used to import individual customer allocation data.

End Date

Use the date picker to select the end of your individual allocation. This date will populate the allocation_end column of the Blank Allocation Import CSV file, used to import individual customer allocation data.

SKUs to show in New Allocation Order

Enter each SKU for the products you would like to offer in your individual allocation. These SKUs will populate the sku column of the Blank Allocation Import CSV file, used to import individual customer allocation data.

NOTE: Make sure that you only have one entry per line and there are no extra spaces or line returns.

ShipCompliant Tag

You can enter the name of your current offer, and this name will be added to the Club/Offering Name field in the order details when an order is placed in an allocation offer on your website or when an admin places an Allocation Order. The ShipCompliant Tag also populates the club_name column of the Order Data export CSV and the Tags column in the ShipCompliant 1011 export CSV. ShipCompliant users sometimes use this Tag to alert fulfillment houses as to what insert should be included in the box for the specific order.

Offering Receipt Message

Entering text in this field replaces the Default Message displayed on the Receipt page after offering checkout. Click the "See Default Message" to preview the current message as it will appear on your page.

Wish Only Receipt Message

Entering text in this field replaces the Default Message displayed on the Receipt page after a Wish Only offering checkout. Click the "See Default Message" to preview the current message as it will appear on your page.

Allocation Goals

All entries in these fields populate the totals in the Allocation Report by Sales Channel. The system then uses these totals to measure your current sales progress against your goal and calculates the percentage of sales achieved (Pictured Below).

FORMAT REQUIREMENT: Enter only numeric values with decimals, no special characters. For example. $200,000.00 should be entered as 200000.

Offering Total Sales Goal

You can enter the total number of projected sales for your Offer, and that amount will appear in your goals under Revenue.

Offering Total Bottle Goal

You can enter the total number of projected 750mL bottle sales for your Offer, and that amount will appear in your goals under Units.

Offering Total 9LE Goal

Enter the total number of projected cases equivalent to twelve standard 750mL bottles (9LE) sales for your Offer, and that amount will appear in your goals under Cases 9LE.

Offering Total Orders Goal

Enter the total number of orders for your Offer, and that amount will appear in your goals under Orders.

Clubs

These settings control the options available for your Wine Club.

Your club defaults to "Membership," but you can enter a name here to overwrite the name as it appears on the account pages.

Options

Show “Change Selection” during Club Registration

Turn on this toggle to display a CHANGE SELECTION button on your club registration page. Clicking this button will direct prospective members back to the main Club/Membership page, where they can choose a different club tier. If you only have one club, we recommend toggling this setting off.
