When you click into a product, you’ll see the full Product Page. This page is where you make all edits, add new details, and manage how the product behaves in the system. On this page, you can find:
Product Details
Inventory: Add product quantity
Status & Visibility: See the Product Visibility Controls article for a more in-depth overview of the visibility controls
Hidden/Visible/Archived: Controls product visibility
For Sale: Toggles whether the product can be purchased (shows “Sold Out” if toggled off)
Website: Controls if the product detail page is available
Featured: Highlights the product at the top of the list when creating an admin order
New: Adds a banner to the product on the open cart
Feeds: Allows third-party platforms like Wine Searcher to discover the product
Title, Subtitle & SKU:
Title shows on receipts and Open Cart
Subtitle appears on Open Cart but not in Allocations
SKU must match exactly in ShipCompliant and your warehouse system
Each SKU must be unique
Do not use various punctuation, accents, or spacing when adding SKUS — only numbers, letters, and/or dashes
Special characters other than dashes will be automatically converted to a dash
Product Type: Wine, Merchandise, Apparel, etc.
Note: Setting a product type as Wine is key in driving the collection of CRV if you are passing that on to your customers. Please refer to 2024 CA Redemption Value Fee for more information.
Display Bottle Size:
Select the Bottle Size that will appear on the product detail, receipts, and in emails
You can add more options under Settings > Fulfillment Methods & Rates > Bottle Sizes. Please note that adding more bottle sizes will populate new rate tables for each shipping method. It is essential that you complete these before adding a product with the new bottle size.
Variant of SKU:
Useful for nesting formats (e.g., 375ml and 1.5L under a 750ml parent)
Only the parent SKU's description displays in allocations; the child SKU description will not display
By default, this setting only displays in allocations. If you would like the variant of SKUs to display on your Open Cart, we can do so for a one-time customization fee. Please reach out to [email protected] if you would like to enable this on your shop page.
Product Discounts: Enable this to allow discount eligibility
Channel Availability:
Set the product to show on Open Cart, Allocation, Club, or all
Add custom messaging under each channel to be displayed on an open cart shop page
Meta & SEO
Meta URL Slug: Customize the product’s URL
Pricing & Taxes
Product Price: Base retail price
Compare at Price: This is a custom feature — when enabled, it will show a comparison button of a higher price vs the current price
Cost of Goods (COG): For internal reporting purposes only
Volume Discounts: Price breaks based on quantity purchased
Tax Exempt: Toggle on to prevent tax from applying to the product
Credit Exempt: Toggle on to prevent customers from applying credits to this item
Website Descriptions & Messaging
Product Description: Main description seen in Open Cart and Allocations
Short Description: Preview text shown on Open Cart pages
Additional Description: Appears under a “Read More” button (Allocations only)
Vintage, Winemaker, and Tasting Notes: Additional details below product descriptions
Technical Information: Custom details requiring Offset assistance to appear on a product details page of the open cart

Availability message
Out-of-stock message (toggle “For Sale” off)
Cart message
Location & Vendor
Warehouse Location: To specify where in the warehouse the product is located
Bin Location: To list which bin the product is located in
Vendor Source: To show which vendor the item came from
Shipping Settings
Shipping Bottle Size: Guides shipping logic from rate grids
Product Weight: If left blank, Offset defaults to 3 lbs for shipping
Shipping Grid Count: Tells the system which rate table to use (e.g., 3-pack row)
Shipping Offer: Set thresholds for free shipping
Shipping Included: Shipping costs are fully absorbed
Additional Features
Product Reviews: Enable if desired
Projections: Input anticipated sales volume
File Uploads: Add PDFs or other files
Product Videos: Requires backend setup by Offset
Internal Notes: Permanent notes for internal team use
Activity Log: Tracks product changes and edits
