Overview
A Dynamic Sign Up Page is a powerful feature that allows you to create targeted landing pages for specific marketing efforts. Unlike your standard sign-up page, a dynamic page features a unique URL with unique copy and required signup fields, and new customers can be routed a specific Customer Group upon registration.
Dynamic Sign-Up Pages are an add-on feature available through the Offset CMS for a $500 one-time fee. Reach out to our Client Experience team through the Offset Commerce chat widget or by emailing [email protected] if you would like to set this up or have have any questions.
Primary Use Case
This feature is primarily designed for offering a selective range of wines (a welcome allocation for this group) to a highly selective group of potential customers (e.g., partners, event attendees, or a specific sales channel).
Key Benefits of Dynamic Sign-Up Pages
The main advantages of using a Dynamic Sign-Up Page are ability to track the origin of new customers and control their initial access and messaging.
Attribute | Benefit |
Targeted Messaging | Customize the page logo, introductory text, and visuals to be hyper-relevant to the audience you are targeting (e.g., mentioning a specific event or partner). |
Customer Grouping | New sign-ups are automatically placed into a designated Customer Group based on the unique link they clicked. This acts as a container to track and organize customers that came from that specific campaign. |
Selective Product Access | You can control exactly which wines or offers are visible to the people who sign up via this link by linking the group to a specific Allocation Offering. |
Related Features to Accommodate Marketing Initiatives
It can be helpful to understand how this feature fits in with other platform features that support marketing efforts to new customers.
1. Referral Links
What they are: The addition of a suffix (like
?ref=PartnerName) to a sign-up URLTracking: This will affix the value (e.g., "PartnerName") to the customer's account in the Referral Note field upon account creation.
Difference from Dynamic Pages: Referral Links are free and can be used by anyone, but they do not automatically put the user into a specific Customer Group or restrict product visibility.
2. Hidden Category Pages
What they are: For clients with an open shop page, a product category can be set to be hidden from the main navigation, but still accessible via URL
Use Case: The goal is simply to show a set of wines immediately to visitors of a specific marketing initiative without requiring an email sign-up first (i.e., reducing friction to prioritize transactions over capturing a customer's info).
Difference from Dynamic Pages: Hidden Category Pages do not force a sign-up to view the products. If you do want to prioritize capturing a customer email, you will likely want to use a Dynamic Sign-Up Page or a referral link.
3. Promo Codes (For First-Time Discounting)
What they are: Codes used at checkout to apply a discount.
Difference from Dynamic Pages: Promo codes are typically used for encouraging first time purchasers. While you could apply a discount via the Customer Group as set by a Dynamic Sign-Up Page, using a dedicated promo code is an alternative if the primary goal is to encourage conversion.
